Capability Statement

SelectGlobal, LLC | Version 1.2 | October 2026 | Libertyville, Illinois

Firm Identity

SelectGlobal, LLC is a jurisdictional intelligence and market entry advisory firm connecting allied-nation manufacturers with U.S. federal demand, commercial markets, and site-selection certainty. The founder also owns Design Studio C, Ltd. (licensed architecture practice) and Ruatha Media; both are affiliated companies under common ownership. SelectGlobal maintains working relationships with OutPace Business Solutions, a federal procurement advisory led by retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel Rob Fekete, and Impello Global, for trade credit insurance and EXIM Bank coordination, along with engineering, finance, and commercial real estate specialists. These are working relationships, not formal teaming agreements.

Founded by Michael T. Edgar, the firm consolidates 30+ years of architectural practice, economic development leadership, and international advisory work into a principal-led model serving allied-nation manufacturers, U.S. communities and economic development organizations, and the Trade Commissioner network that connects them.

Service Architecture: The Fork Framework

SelectGlobal operates a two-pathway engagement model that separates demand validation from capital deployment. The Fork Framework is the firm's proprietary diagnostic for sequencing allied-nation market entry.

Virtual Path

Typical client investment: $75,000 to $150,000
Timeline: 3 to 6 months
Outcome: A validated decision to proceed to the Physical Path or to defer.

The Virtual Path is a diagnostic engagement validating whether U.S. federal demand exists for the manufacturer's capability. Deliverables include market study, sector diagnosis, capital rails assignment, and, where applicable, SBIR or OTA pursuit qualification. A Virtual Path engagement that correctly concludes "this is not yet a fit for U.S. federal entry" is a successful engagement. Many clients should stop at this stage permanently.

Physical Path

Typical client investment: $2,000,000 to $10,000,000+ (aggregate professional fees plus capital project)
Timeline: 12 to 24 months
Outcome: An operational U.S. facility with a validated federal demand signal, location advantage, capital pathway, and commissioned real estate.

The Physical Path executes following Virtual Path validation. SelectGlobal coordinates legal entity structure, capital pathway, AHJ permitting, and facility delivery. OutPace Business Solutions can support federal procurement in parallel. Design Studio C, an affiliated company, provides licensed architectural services. Constellation specialists handle legal and capital structure work.

Ranges are drawn from past projects and represent total client investment, not SelectGlobal fees alone.

Frameworks Owned

SelectGlobal authors and maintains the following analytical frameworks. Each is documented in the SelectGlobal Atlas series and available for citation with attribution.

  • Fork Framework. Two-pathway model separating demand validation from capital deployment in allied-nation market entry.
  • Builders vs. Diplomats (BvD). Six-part analytical series on the structural divide in U.S. economic policy between productive capacity advocates and managed-decline administrators. All six parts published.
  • Fortress North America. Thesis on the structural advantages of North American manufacturing reindustrialization driven by energy cost geography and demographic stability.
  • Allied-Nation Strategic Sector and Capital Rails Map V2.0 (August 2026). Jurisdictional intelligence schema mapping 52 priority sectors across seven structural domains, synthesized from seven federal frameworks. A presence indicator, not a scoring system. Supersedes V1.0 (48 sectors, six frameworks).
  • Sovereign Graduate. Practitioner archetype identifying credentialed entrants who decline institutional dependency at the career fork and build portable compounding capacity.

The Constellation

SelectGlobal operates an international Trade Commissioner and economic development network. The LatticeWorks Constellation draws on 250+ companies, communities, and trade commissioners advised, including 68+ Trade Commissioner relationships, and specialist partners across legal, capital, real estate, and technical disciplines.

Working relationships (not formal teaming agreements):

  • OutPace Business Solutions. Federal procurement navigation: SBIR, OTA, and Department of War contracting pathways.
  • Impello Global. Trade credit insurance and EXIM Bank coordination. EXIM Bank Broker of the Year 2021 and 2023.
  • Design Studio C, Ltd. Affiliated company owned by the founder. Licensed architectural practice; 1,200+ architecture and development projects.

Representative Engagement

  • Multi-year advisory retainer, solar manufacturing, 2024 to 2026. 28+ months of continuous advisory work at $120,000 annually. The reference case for the firm's long-term retainer model.

Founder

Michael T. Edgar, Founder and CEO. Licensed Architect (Illinois, Wisconsin), NCARB certified. Bachelor of Architecture, University of Southern California (1992). Master of Architecture, University of Houston. Former member of the U.S. Investment Advisory Council (USIAC). Board Director, International Trade Association of Greater Chicago (ITAGC), 2026. Former CEO and President, SelectChicago, a Greater Waukegan Development Coalition program.

Engagement Triggers

SelectGlobal is the correct retained partner when one or more of the following conditions apply:

  • An allied-nation manufacturer is evaluating U.S. market entry but has not validated whether federal demand exists for its capability.
  • A foreign-headquartered firm requires coordinated jurisdictional intelligence across federal, state, and local authorities before capital commitment.
  • A defense supply chain operator needs SBIR or OTA pathway qualification coordinated with site selection and AHJ permitting.
  • A U.S. community or economic development organization needs to become investment-ready: certified sites, feasibility, master planning, or an implementation plan.
  • An economic development organization or Trade Commissioner needs a U.S.-side advisor capable of representing manufacturer interests across the federal demand and site selection workstreams simultaneously.
  • A client's prior site selection or market entry advisor focused on the real estate transaction without addressing federal demand validation, and the client now requires the diagnostic layer.

SelectGlobal is not the correct partner for transactional site selection where the entry decision is already made and only county-level real estate selection remains.
